Weekly blog created by Sue Eyers, HLTA – Forest School Lead
This term I am working with a group of students from Parrot class.
Their 1st Session was “Exploring New Environments”
The group experienced being outside to explore an area in school not usually available to them. They created a set of pictorial rules to use during their Forest School sessions to help keep themselves safe. They enjoyed listening to the story “Stanley’s Stick” before decorating their own chosen stick with coloured wool, ribbons and feathers. It was then time for free time where they could take part in an activity of their choosing, playing with water, digging in the soil or drawing. To end the session they had a drink of hot chocolate and said what they enjoyed doing the most.
