Dance club is an exciting, high-energy club, where the participants can explore their creativity and find different ways of moving their bodies. Dance is an incredibly versatile way of engaging children and adults of all abilities into fitness. As well as a source of exercise, we use this club to develop motor skills, express emotions and improve memory, to name but a few aims. We have opened the club up to most of the school, with attendees ranging from as young as 6 years old to 19 years old. ALL abilities are welcomed and included and where possible we try to create young leaders within the group, who’s responsibilities will vary from ‘leading a dance’ to helping engage younger or less able participants. I find it paramount that the students enjoy themselves and leave dance club with a smile on their face!
