The Social Communication Group has been set up for children on the autism spectrum who benefit from a different curriculum to the Experiential Learning Group classes.
The curriculum has an emphasis on communication, personal and social skills, independence skills and sensory needs.
Individual targets and programmes are planned using SCERTS (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support) programme is used in conjunction with the AET (Autism Education Trust) Progression Framework.
This includes community visits out of school, activities in the Sensory Studio, Attention Wiltshire sessions, and LARCPACK sensory communication sessions.
Support of school goes above and beyond what I expected and Larkrise have nurtured, and supported my child. I feel all my issues are supported. The progress of my child has been amazing and home school books are brilliant.
