Here at Larkrise we understand the need to keep active & to move in as many ways as possible. We also understand that this ‘movement’ is not the same for everyone & that we all have different strengths. Some of us like to be out & about whilst others amongst us find this a bit tricky. Some of us also don’t want to compete against others. We prefer to challenge ourselves!
So we set ourselves two whole school targets for this year’s Sports Day:
1)For every pupil to try a new activity
2)For every pupil to work with a new person (adult or Young Leader)
And we are proud to announce that we achieved our target!! How did we do this? Well some of us went to The Clarendon Academy & were lucky enough to be supported & encouraged by a the Academy’s team of Young Leaders. We participated in:
Wheelchair Basketball with Terry |
Dance with The Dance Lady (Caz) |
Trampolining with Amy |
A Disco Dome |
An inflatable Assault Course |
