Larkrise School is just entering its fourth year of the Achievement for All programme (AFA)
This is a national school improvement framework which supports us in providing the very best opportunities to ensure that all children and young people achieve their potential. It provides us with support and resources and allows us to build on current systems to further develop good practice.
There are four elements of the Achievement for All framework:
2) High Quality teaching and learning
3) Structured conversations with parents/carers
4) Wider Outcomes
In order to succeed in providing the most beneficial outcome for all learners we engage in all four elements as part of our whole school structure.
In 2015 Larkrise school was awarded the Achievement for All Quality Mark for our work improving the outcomes for our pupils and their families by raising educational aspirations, access and achievement. Schools are assessed for the Quality Mark and this focuses on a variety of categories, such as, strategic planning, quality of teaching and learning, effective use of interventions, pupil progress and community relationships.
Our assessor was particularly impressed with the systematic, rigorous monitoring and tracking through Pupil Progress Meetings and extensive case study folders to review and identify strategies for intervention.
We are now looking forward to working with our Achievement for All coach, Lindsay Long as we work towards Quality Lead Status.
Support of school goes above and beyond what I expected and Larkrise have nurtured, and supported my child. I feel all my issues are supported. The progress of my child has been amazing and home school books are brilliant.
